Our Work
Volunteering at WatchDog
Volunteering at the WatchDog facilities is always not only rewarding, but also a valuable learning experience not only for the students, but also for us at Learning Bridge. The volunteer work involved working closely with both students and instructors to organize learning materials, compile resources on alternative pedagogies, and support teachers with music therapy, storytelling, sensory training classes and behavioral classes.
Student Mentoring
Since its inception, Learning Bridge has also dedicatedly worked with individual, Mandarin and Cantonese speaking students at WatchDog towards enriching their learning experience in an attempt to positively augment their school performance. This has involved providing readings, note-taking techniques, and assisting with essay-writing work.
Currently, Learning Bridge is working closely on mentoring two students — one of whom we began working with in October 2022, and the other in September 2023. For the first student, we work primarily on academic, and conversational English on account of English not being his first language. For the second student, we tutor him in both English and Math, along with general study techniques and immersive learning experiences.
